2nd 4 color text drawing

With these two designs and my next design I was inspired by Art Chantry. Some of his drawing that I was interested in were very messy but clean and they had great compositions. These two drawings I wanted to create a picture of a martial artist that I have always loved(Bruce Lee). Overall the composition on both of these were good for me and I am content with them.

This next design I had a thought of a clock and I wanted to make an abstract clock with just 0's and numbers. WIth this picture I am fairly satisfied, and I think the layers are well composed.

4 color text drawings

My first Image I drew I had a thought of a mouth with abstract things around it. I incorporated text around with blue, red ad green. This turned out well in an overall composition.
On this next picture I decided to try and reconstruct an ink drawing I did in color and really did not like the way it turned out. The composition is way off for me and the colors are way to dark. I plan on eventually repainting this with maybe lighter paint colors.

On my last design I tried to incorporate sign-language, and text. I really enjoyed doing this design because I included my son. Somewhere in this I lost the foreground. I guess I just need to keep at it and keep learning. Somewhere I need to figure out how to use my messy creativity on the computer.

3 color abstract

On this picture and all my other pictures I really tried not to make and image or realism. Starting on this drawing I used pastels and I just started to draw the lines from fragments of my hand. After doing so I connected some lines and colored in some shapes and created a background. I think overall this was successful.

On my next abstract thought I wanted to keep things simple. I created some hills and used three colors that I thought would balance well. With that I created good foreground.

This next picture I also used pastels and I wanted to experiment with basic shapes. With doing this I created a picture with a little bit of 3 dimensional ability.

My last picture I drew I wanted to experiment with mostly color and big shapes, and how they can balance together. Using the forest green pastel it created good foreground and helped the rest of the layers.

2 color abstract re-cap

With the critic on this project I noticed that I needed to have more foreground. With all the colors that I put into all three of the pictures somewhere I lost my foreground. So on my next projects I will try to put more foreground into them, and not as much color yet.

Color Abstract #3

For my third image I want to make a form of a self portrait and with the portray I wanted to a feeling. There are many mixed feelings that I see when I look at this so I guess it would depend on the viewer. this is definitely balanced to me but I think your eye goes around the page a little to much. Overall this seems successful to me.

Color Abstract image #2

For this abstract I came up with making an eye look abstract. When I first finished this picture I had to much blue on the top right. So I improvised and added some hot red colors to the upper right. Before I added red the picture was not well balanced, and with adding the red it balanced out.

Color Abstract image #1

This is my first color abstract that I created, and I decided to use Illustrator and photoshop. My first thought on this image was an zen garden. and the red stones in the middle of the garden were from a picture I found. This image is not as abstract as I first imaged it but I thin k it came out good for what it is.

Black & White abstract

creating an abstract drawing was something very new to me. But I am always up to trying something new. My first abstract drawing was this picture that I did on photo shop. I had fun doing it and it was fun to use all the different brushes.

My next abstract I did I started to use charcoal. My basic thought of this picture was a close picture of a flower. And I worked on using the negative and positive space. I don't think this was a total successful drawing in abstract form but it was a start in thinking as an abstract artist
.
This drawing I liked how I guided your eye from the center and out. I think it was a successful abstract drawing. I possibly could have used more of the negative space more, but I think it worked for was it is.
